(More customer reviews)These lamps are advertised everywhere as three-way sensor touch lamps. I have other touch lamps that have 3 brightness settings and since these are for a bedroom, I expected and wanted them to have the option of dimmer settings. I bought two -- neither has any setting except full ON and off. These require just a regular bulb of course, as other touch lamps do. They do fill the need for a bedside touch lamp, but the price should be MUCH less. The shade is cheap, yellowish and stiff (unlike an almost identical, silk-shaded lamp we have that was $7.00 at an outlet store!) the base is chrome, un-subtle - they could be taller for their purpose. But they do give a nice ambience above and below, and look nice against our dark blue wall. I think Amazon and others should change this error in description. I am keeping them because they fit a small bedside table nicely, but it's the usual CHINA-made low quality. I'm sure we'll replace them in a couple of years....Be aware this shade is NOT white even with bulbs off -- quite yellowish.
