(More customer reviews)The lamp base is made of some type of wood and painted. Feels a bit lightweight and has flaws in the paint job. The joints at the wood connections are unfilled and the plastic side panels that infill the sides don't fit precisely. You have to force some of them into place and it's nearly impossible to remove the panel cover once it's installed. I was expecting it to be made of metal from the photos. Bulbs are not included with the unit (except for the night light bulb) - always a bit of a bummer to have to go out and buy a bulb just to check if the unit works correctly. Seems a bit overpriced for what you get.
