(More customer reviews)I bought this lamp as a Christmas gift for a neighbor. It arrived boxed and packaged securely, which was a worry since theres glass parts. The look of it is great. I love the smokey glass and brass finish. It works with the lightest touch, but isnt "touchy" if you know what I mean. You can put your finger anywhere on the metal area and the lamp turns on or cycles thru the low to bright setting without trying to find a sweet spot, or pushing really hard to make it work, and its not so touchy that it accidentally turns on or off or cycles because of a lingering touch. The only two gripes I have are very small. One- the lamp arrives disassembled. You have to attach the bulb guard, the metal frame for the shade and the individual glass "leafs" Its just hand tightening screws and nuts but I did it before I wrapped it up since I didnt want my neighbors to have to put their Christmas present together on Christmas morning. And Second- Make sure you realize the size of it. Its not small, but I would catagorize it as medium. When I saw it in actual use, on a nightstand, it looked smaller than I had thought. This is a great buy, so great Im going to buy on for myself.
