I just moved into an apartment that has no overhead lighting and wanted something for my bedroom. I've had touch lamps in the past and one lamp lit the entire room well enough so I only ordered one. The shade on the lamp causes all the light to go down which really limits the lighted area so I'm having to buy another lamp that will provide full room lighting. I do like this lamp though for a bedside lamp that I can use to read with, or if I am in random need of light and don't want to get out of bed.
